The Huntley Community Association is once again providing local area residents with an environmentally convenient way to recycle metal waste. This will occur over the weekend from Friday May 22 until Sunday May 24.

Two bins will be located across from the outdoor rink at the Carp Fairgrounds. The bins will be available Friday afternoon, all day Saturday, and Sunday until about 3:00PM.
All types of metal will be accepted including insulated wiring, batteries, and appliances that do not contain Freon or flammable liquids.
Hazardous waste cannot be accepted.
E-waste will be accepted but we ask that this be put separately in the e-waste bin. (e.g. old TV’s, computers, printers, phones, etc.)
Volunteers will often be onsite to guide residents on placement of items in the two bins. Availability of assistance will depend on the number of volunteers who can offer some time to help. Please send a note to [email protected] if you are able to help out.
Thank you to Metro Scrap Metal for again supplying storage bins at no cost.

We know Carp loves metal and e-waste recycling weekends. But we need more help to make sure the weekend runs as planned. We need both adult and youth community volunteers to support the event.
