The Huntley Community Association is bringing back the Carp Winter Carnival!

Join us at the HCA Mess Hall and the Huntley Community Centre (outdoor rink building) on Thursday February 6, Friday February 7 and Saturday February 8, 2025!

Tons of fun activities are planned and refreshments will be available!

We’ll also have some “I ‘love’ Carp” buttons for sale, we hope you’ll wear yours to show the great community spirit that is part of the Carp experience. Details below.

Bingo, Games and Pub Night

Activities – Thursday evening February 6: HCA Mess Hall, 2240 Craig’s Side Road

  • New for 2025, join us at the HCA Mess Hall to compete for Bingo prizes.
  • Presented as part of the Valley Heritage Radio Bingo Night.
  • After Bingo, stay on to play pool, shuffleboard and board games.
  • Cash bar available (cash or credit/debit)

Friday Night Activities

Activities – Free Public Skate, Friday evening February 7: Outdoor Rink, Community Centre, Juanita Ave

  • Public Skate, 7- 8 PM.
  • No sticks allowed on ice.
  • Canteen open for hot drinks and snacks.

Trivia Night

Activities – Friday evening February 7: HCA Mess Hall, 2240 Craig’s Side Road

  • Trivia Night at the Mess Hall.
  • Put together a team and show off your trivia knowledge!
  • $20/person to play the trivia game.
  • Register your team in advance.
  • Sandwiches, light refreshments provided.
  • Cash bar available (debit or credit)

Saturday Daytime Activites

Activities – Saturday February 8: – Outdoor Rink/Huntley Community Centre, 108 Juanita Avenue

Attendance at these events is free.

  • Outdoor hockey games at the outdoor rink – 9:00-10:00AM.
  • Bacon on a bun for breakfast starting at 8:00AM. Hotdogs for lunch, refreshments throughout the day at the Huntley Community Centre (Outdoor Rink Building) canteen from 8:00am-2:00pm.
  • Maple Ridge Farm Maple Taffy display and tasting from 10AM – noon near the ODR..
  • Fire pit runs from 9AM – 1PM at the Huntley Community Centre.
  • Sleigh rides beginning at 10:00AM for seniors and 11:00AM – 2:00PM for general public. Rides depart from the ODR.
  • Lunchtime kids games at the outdoor rink, Noon-1:00PM.

Spaghetti Dinner

Saturday February 8 – HCA Mess Hall, 2240 Craig’s Side Road

  • Join us at the Mess Hall for a spaghetti dinner where you can take home or dine in with friends and family.
  • Meals are ready for take out starting at 4:00PM, dine-in starts at 4:30PM. The Mess Hall bar is open from 5:00PM to 10PM.
  • Please order in advance by Thursday February 6 at noon, as there are a limited number of prepared meals.
  • All order are served with garlic bread.
  • Plates are $15.00 each, $10.00 for a small plate. Payment can be made at pick-up by cash, credit or debit.
  • Proceeds from this dinner help fund HCA community events, such as this year’s Carp Winter Carnival!

Where do I get my Button?

The Carp Winter Carnival is almost here (February 6 – 8)!

To attend the Winter Carnival, you’ll want an “I ‘love’ Carp” button!

Buttons will be for sale at the Huntley Community Centre on Saturday during the Winter Carnival. We’d love to see everyone showing their community spirit with an “I ‘love’ Carp” button!

Buttons are $10 each. Proceeds from the buttons help fund Huntley Community Association activities, such as the Winter Carnival events!

Note – We suggest you keep your buttons after the Carnival, as they may give you a reduced admission to future events and activities.
