Please Note: If you are viewing this page, please be aware that memberships for the Huntley Community Association have not been instituted at this time, and this is simply a test of a possible future membership system. There is no need to attempt to register as a member. Becoming a “member” is not a requirement to vote at an HCA meeting, as those kinds of details have not been discussed by the Board of Directors.

Membership Levels

There are four types of membership for the Huntley Community Association.

  1. A free membership may provide online access to some HCA website information intended for members only, but does not provide you with voting rights for issues voted on at an Annual General Meeting or a Special Meeting of the Association.

  2. A Youth membership is free and is available for those under the age of 18. It does not provide you with voting rights at a meeting of the Huntley Community Association.

Registering with a Youth membership is a good way to show your interest in community activities. You may be contacted to determine your interest in volunteering at Association events.

  3. An HCA Paid Membership provides the paid-up member with voting rights at an Annual General Meeting or a Special Meeting of the Association. You must have a current paid-up membership to vote for persons running for a Director position with the Association. A paid membership may provide online access to some additional HCA website member-only content.

Paid memberships are available only to those residents age 18 or over. If you are under the age of 18, you can register as a Youth member.

Paid members may be offered discounts for participation in some Association events or for promotional items offered by the HCA.

The cost for an HCA paid membership is $10.00/year.

  4. An HCA Family Membership provides all adults (18+) who live in the same household with the same voting rights as an individual HCA Paid Membership. One family member will be registered as the “owner” of the membership account, and that account is used to login to the registration system.

When attending a meeting of the Huntley Community Association you may be asked to identify the eligible voting members of the family membership.

The cost for an HCA Family Membership is $15.00/year.

Note: Due to the limitations of the Member Registration system, each member registering online must have a unique email address. You cannot register two people using the same address. You can acquire your own personal email address using various free email offerings online (Yahoo, Gmail, Outlook, etc.) or through your internet service provider.

All memberships are valid for a period of one year.

The reason for membership registration is to comply with some new rules regarding Not-For-Profit corporations under the Ontario Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, 2010 (ONCA), which came into force on October 19, 2021. We can no longer define a Member of the Association simply based on the geographic location of the place of residence. We now need to be able to identify those people who have voting rights at an Association meeting.
