Bat Houses for Sale

December 19th, 2016

Bat box

The HCA in partnership with West Carleton High School’s Woodworking Program has BATHOUSES for sale. These BATHOUSES are made of solid wood, are ready to install, and can house as many as 300 bats.

Bats are great insect eaters and are a natural part of our environment in West Carleton. Putting up a BATHOUSE will attract bats and will help control various flying insects around your property.

This co-operative project allows the HCA to buy the BATHOUSE material and the WCSS Woodworking Program to manufacture the BATHOUSES, giving you a well-made and inexpensive home for native bats. BATHOUSES are for sale at $25.00, and any profits will be donated to the West Carleton Food Access Centre, a worthwhile cause for all West Carleton residents.

To order your BATHOUSE click on the “Buy” button below, fill in the form and pay. The BATHOUSE will be available for pick up in Carp immediately at 385 Donald B Monroe Dr, and will come to you with installation instructions.

There are several ways you can mount the BATHOUSE, use the installation guide to decide how you want to put it up.

The HCA wishes to thank the WCSS Woodworking Program, and specifically Mr. Wilson who teaches that program at WCSS. This has been a great co-operative initiative between the School and the Community Association.
